I have been dreading Friday for like 2 years and I am just curious how many of you are at least a little scared of friday?

Negatron. The only thing I dread is when the 21st passes and the next doomsday prediction comes.

You stay away from my phraseology! :P Negat... Too soonI'm not scared, but the 21st has affected me negatively already. I've been having to screen print a ton of merchandise (coozies, shirts, towels, etc...) for all of the Doomsday themed 5Ks taking place. The coozies do look pretty cool at least (it's similar to the emblem from the Legends of the Hidden Temple show).
Honestly, the fear of December 21st is getting out of hand. It's all because of pure ignorance of the important facts and a blatant misunderstanding of the Mayan calendar, which has become the catalyst to all this craziness.
I'm looking forward to when December 21st comes, so that the sun will rise the very next day. Then all these fears will be put to rest.
I doubt that even that's gonna happen. I remember the whole "Y2K Scare" thing, and how all of our computers were going to malfunction and all sorts of unpredictable bad stuff would happen, and it'd be utter chaos. Did people freak out and going raping/murdering in the streets then? No. I know that this is really hard to accept, even for me. But most people aren't just cripplingly stupid. People knew that the Y2K scare was bull$*** then, and even the ones who believed it were smart enough to stockpile their weapons and supplies and not go rampaging in the streets until that doomsday scenario actually happened. And the reason is obvious. Even if they believe it, they're not THAT stupid. They admit they may be wrong, so they're not gonna go on a murdering spree until they're SURE that the world won't last long enough for them to spend the next 15 years on death row. Same thing here. People don't believe that the world is gonna end on Friday. Even the ones who do believe it aren't CONFIDENT enough about that to do $*** that's gonna get them decades in prison (or worse, a lethal injection) in the event that they're wrong. So no, there won't be mass panic in the streets. Maybe a handful of incidents from a few moronic (and probably drunken) @ssh***s, and that's about it. 99% of the world isn't gonna do anything f***ed up because they already think that the 12/21/2012 thing is BS. And of the few people who do believe it, not many of them are going to be so certain and confident as to gamble their futures on it. They'll wait until the world looks like it's ending, then they'll go on a rampage. But not before, because what's the incentive? Yeah...I have no argument that people are stupid, but give even the stupid people some credit. They may be stupid, but they aren't THAT stupid. Particularly when there's a set date, and they've had years to think about what course of action is in their best interests.I'd be more worried that people are gonna do stupid shlt and try to justify it with the apocalypse.

I thought I'd heard all this ancient civilization; poles shifting, end-of-the-world stuff before, and I just remembered where: The Jupiter Menace. Seriously, that was like in the 80's, and this is just the same $hit with a very slightly different hue of paint.
Here, watch it. Sound familiar?
I can't say that I am TC. Nothing I have seen in the last week/year (With maybe the exception of Hostess going out of business) has appeared to be an indication of the end of the world.
Also seeing as how the Mayans did not actually predict the end of the world no one should really be worried. Unless of course you watch the history channel in which case duck and cover because the end of times is drawing near.

It's funny how The History Channel and The Learning Channel both make people stupid
And on topic, no I am not afraid in the slightest.
