I'm kinda curious for Mark Wahlberg being protagonist and Dinobots for first time in Transformer movie series. Never liked girly Shia LaBeouf and his show off girlfreinds and stupid family in any Transformer series , looking forward to this much as movie seems no nonsense action flick.

wbu OT , are you hyped for T 4 ? :)

@indzman: I have not seen the third one..mostly because I was fed up with it all. This new one has some good things going for it: 1) No Shia 2) Dinobots 3) Is a "reboot" (sort of) So I will probably check it out....I think that means I am also going to watch the third one ;-(

Same, watching for Mark , Dino and Optimus. You will enjoy Third one as its more mysterious and got a surprise antagonist than previous installments lol :)

meh. It looks decent, but the last two sequels were just subpar for me. Mark Wahlberg isn't a good enough actor to make me want to run out and buy tickets to see this. I'll wait for a DVD rental.

Will probably see it, but I'm far from hyped. The last 2 Transformer movies were really bad.

I'll watch it eventually but definitely not hyped. Transformers movies have been mostly mindless trash; doubt this one will somehow be awesome.

I'll admit, I'm a sucker for Michael Bay's movies and since I really enjoy all the Transformer movies, I'm looking forward to Age of Extinction. I'm not really hype, just looking forward to it and while I'm still skeptical about Bay's TMNT, I hope he does not ruin it but looking at the trailers, it looks interesting.

I've only watched the first two movies and I wasn't really impressed so no. I may watch the third and Age of Extinction at some point.

It may seem strange from someone who regularly trafficks in bad films, but I'm not at all interested as the Transformers for me have always been dull and boring toys, adapted into a bad cartoon TV series, which in turn have enjoyed a revival of what looks to be a series of very bad films. I haven't seen a single film so I'm not at all hyped for the newest entry, but perhaps one day out of morbid curiosity I may take the plunge...hey I did all the infamous Ilsa films in a row not too long ago so who knows?

It's pretty much the COD of movies, lots of action with little or no meaning.

so, nope.

You know, even though the movie is going to be terrible, they always have impressive VFX. So I might go see it just for that.

@thehig1: Sure, if you Redbox it. Personally, I will just rent it on demand on Amazon video or something. It's more convenient that way.

You know, sometimes I fall into this camp, but the trailers for the Transformers movies have always been a turnoff. I'm open to some dumb stupid movies (I like Bad Boys and Independence Day), but from the trailers I always got the impression that the Transformers just look like big piles of trash. The designs are too complicated and messy, and seeing them in action in the trailers just looked like seeing a bunch of piles of garbage rolling around. That kind of shit just comes off as ugly to me, and I simply assumed that I'd get a headache watching that crap for two whole hours. So i never watched the movies.

lol, that's a pretty accurate description of how they look. :D They have way too many parts and crap on them.. which is technically impressive, but looks horrible. But what really looks good in the movies are the stuff they destroy, not the transformers themselves.

I will watch it only because it is Transformers (and to support Peter Cullen), but I know that I'll almost certainly hate it because I'm an actual Transformers fan.

"The Rcck" is one of the finest action flicks made imo. And Con Air is ridiculously good fun.

The rest of Micheal Bay's movies can die in a hole as far as I'm concerned. Mark Wahlberg sounds like abit of dick and his acting ability is about as bad as Shia Labeouf shouting "OPTMIUS!" every 30 seconds.

I think the difference with "Con Air" and "The Rock" is A) Absolutely superior actors. Even Nicolas Cage with his ridiclous hair and hilarous accent in Con Air is endearing. Both Ed Harris and john Malkovich as Awsome villains and 95% of the effects are practical.

In Transformers you have Shia Labeouf, who's a ****. Megan Fox, who's a ****. And that lady from Tranfomers 3, who's a tree stump. The effects are so fast and hyper you haven't a clue whats going on half the time. And (I'm sorry) but the decepticons are shitty villains.

Eh, makes little difference really.
