Are you gonna stay?

By now most of you must have heard about the changes coming to gamespot:

So was just wondering, how many of you plan on staying here, regardless of the changes?

I for one, am gonna stay. i have spent, nearing 6 years here. it would be a shame to just up and leave. I have had a great time here. While i dont like the changes, i know i will get over them. I also have faith that a good chunk of the community will stay as well.

Gamespot has pretty much become a part of my life, it would be a shame to just up an leave.

I will be staying for the new GS. What about you?

Yeah, leaving for the changes would be stupid. I'll miss the boob gifs though. :(

Meh. I've come in waves, anyway. My account is 9 years old, but there's been multiple periods of several months, or even a year or more, that I haven't come here. And periods where I've been a daily regular. I've been feeling a dry spell coming, even before hearing about the changes. Just been getting bored with the place. I'll probably turn into a ghost around next gen launch time, unless system wars gets particularly hilarious during that time (and it might. PS3 launch time was funny shit). It's fun to come back after a year of not posting, and see if any names I recognize are still around.

Undecided, so far.

Been a member here almost 10 years, not leaving because of this. Change happens, it can either be a good change or a bad change. You can either hate it or like it, but none of us has experienced the change that GS is talking about. Better to experience it and then make a decision before jumping ship early. 2ndWonder

I' ll stay. I don' t see the changes being catastrophic so I' ll just adapt to the new order of things.

Leaving over boob gifs or levels/emblems is ridiculous if I'm going to be honest. They're neat and all but not one of the primary reasons I come here, nor do I view such things as something that should be the main motivation to go to a website. I figure the big reasons anyone go go to gamespot (or almost any site really) is for the news, videos, and/or community.

the only changes that really bothered me were the sig restrictions and removal of unions (since there actaully some people that care about unions, even if they are a minority). I myself lost interest in unions a long time ago, and I never liked making big sigs anyways so I could probably work with the restrictions (but still, 125 px height, really?)

I'll probably stick around, unless the new forums become dead due to too many people leaving ove the changes or something.

All of the things they are changing don't affect me in the slightest. In fact, it's going to be awesome to not have to see annoying GIFs in people's signatures.

Most likely.  I'm curious to see what it'll be like, and it'll be interesting with everyone's accounts reset seeing as I've been a pretty infrequent poster here until recently anyway.

I don't know if I am staying or not. I don't care about the unions being taken out, but Sigs are an issue for me. It is bad enough that some mod got a hair up his/her ass about my old sig being over 1MB (even though you see tons of sig over 1MB). If my current sig is too much for the new setup, then there is a good chance I am out. Also, if the forums are anything like giantbomb's forums, I am out. I never been to giantbomb's forums until the thread about this site changing popped up and people started mentioning how shitty giantbomb's forums were. So I went and checked them out and sure enough, giantbomb's forums suck ass and I want no part of it. So take my current sig from me or switch to a super shitty forum setup like giantbomb and there is a very good chance I am out.

Yes, I don't post every day but I do check in often.

yes. but I will miss having animated gifs in sigs. 

I like that they're getting rid of animated gif's for signatures.  It seems like people just choose the most random meaningless crap and then everybody has to look at that stupid thing all the time.

But I mean c'mon, the spellchecker is broke, you can't even freakin' cut and paste anything on these forums - the only fforums on the entire internet that don't allow you to do that;  can't post pictures unless you go and add lines to the source code of Firefox or some such nonsense.

It's always a bad joke when people talk about "improving" something when they can't even get the damned thing to work right in the first place.

I'm quite excited to see the changes, I just want to know when they will be changed.

I just come here to giggle at everyone here while I'm in my underpants or less.

I dont know where I'll go if I leave and I've been a member for a long time. I think I'll stay.
