If I did the math correctly the game should either come close to, or eclipse 200k U.S. pre-orders before its launch next month.

Because the numbers that you posted are from vgchartz, I would take those numbers with a massive grain of salt.

And people said this wouldn't do well outside of Japan. But I never realized how poorly it sold in Japan. Of course, obligatory lolvgchartz. meetroid8

Go figure. Baten Kaitos didn't do so hot either. What is wrong with people!? Poor Monolith deserves more attention. Well I for one cannot wait to get this game!

Any real numbers from Gamestop or something?

I really don't think vgcharts would now how much a game will sell before it launched.

EDIT: And for pre-orders to surpass world-sales wouldn't it have to sell over 300K at launch?

I meant individual sales. The original title to this thread was Xenoblade U.S. "Pre-orders" will soon surpass Europe and Japan's "total sales". But I had to shorten it for this forum because it has an annoying character limit on thread titles that the others don't.

150k is good in Japan. It did less LTD than lolchartz says though.

Provided those numbers are anywhere close (which vgchartz isn't usually drastically off but this could be one of those times), that still means Xenoblade could be hitting 500k worldwide. That's pretty darn good.

Xenoblade is selling well though, very well in fact. The game wound up being backordered in the official Nintendo store it got so many pre-orders and has been remaining at the top of gamestops "best sellers" for over a month.

I have no doubt we have already passed EU and JP sales (seperately) in preorders.
