What is your view on the wii zapper. Is it Genius or Just some plastic to hold the controler.

I will get one for the free mini zelda game and resident evil umbrella chroicals. But what is your view?

If it's required to play RE:UC then i will buy it. Does RE require the Wii zapper?

well since its an arcade shooter it looks like you wont be intrested in it for long. you can just hold the nunchuk and the wiimote the same way as the zapper and there you go. Or you can make one out of foil.

Here's my thinking on it... It's a plastic shell that is not needed. It's like the many things Nintendo has come out with over the years that don't really do anything. Like the Zapper and the power glove, but it isn't even that refined. You already have what made the zapper / power glove interesting with your wiimote. So what does the new Wii Zapper bring? A zelda game. Well, not even a zelda game, a 'training' game with Link in it. Honestly, does it bring anything than a forced way to hold your controllers? Lets assume though that it is important to have... well then, you need to get 4 right so everyone can play! Can you buy it separately from the zelda game for a discount? No. Why do I need 4 copies of the zelda game? The zelda game was just a gimmic for everyone to buy at least one. So if it really brings anything to the gaming world it should be sold separately and at a much cheaper price point. I still think it's just a great way to sucker $20 bucks out of someone for some molded plastic.

IGN on there podcast tore the wii zapper apart. basically they said it makes all the games worse, and it just feels weird to play with, theres no inerds to the controller,thers just a button that hits the B button on the wii mote. im going to try it myself before i rule it out though

I want to get it so I can try it out, as for the games i happen to enjoy rail shooters so I think I might fun with this, I just hope it really isn't akward to play.

I'll I think its good for the few seclected games that it can use it for but I don't know if it comes free with Resident Evil or just Link's Cross Bow Training but if it comes free with Resident Evil than I guess I'll get it and use it

Nope. The Zapper comes with Link's Crossbow Training, you have to buy RE: UC seperately.
