there is a lan adapter like 30 or 40 just go buy a wireless router, its worth it, that way your laptop, your ds, your watever wireless can use it to, the wireless doesnt require an adapter, just a hot spot, wich is what nintendo adapter does, hooks to pc to make a hot spot...

I've got a linksys wireless router wrt54g cost was $45-60 and I have never had a problem. It works with ds, wii, and my laptop. The range is great it works anywhere in my house. My neighbor also has a wii and he can connect with my router too. even with both of us connected there is no lag or disconnections. The most important thing is to make sure your Internet connection is fast.
