Metroid Prime: Hunters. If there was ever a better Multiplayer game for the DS, I've never seen it. In Metroid, there is a ranking system and many unlockables,with a descriptive tracking system and buddy system, and fantastic gameplay and great fun.

Metroid Prime Hunters is the most fun game on WiFi, but a ton of people play it with cheats enabled (using a NDS backup player like M3 or R4). They can turn of infinite ammo, rockets, god mode, etc. Not very fun when you're playing with cheaters but otherwise it's awesome. Phantom Hourglass is also a blast online.
