Who's playing RE4 for the 1st time?

i never played the GC version, but i heard it was amazing.
so i picked up the wii edition and i can't put it down.
for those who did play it, notice any improvements?

I played it breifly before at a friends house. This is the first time I'll be playing it all the way through.

Well, the new controls are the obvious improvement. It's considerably easier to aim with the pointer than it was with the analogstick controlled laser. (the old controls is still built into this game though. just plug in a GCN or classic controller if you want to give them a whirl)

I played the ps2 version briefly, and for whatever reason I'm having more trouble with the controls in the wii version. I think I just have to get more used to them in this context. It doesn't help that this game freaks the hell out me!! I hate the feeling I get when I'm trying to shoot those guys and keep some distance from them but I end up aiming at the ground or backing away too slowly and they just slash me to bits. I just got the game, btw, so I'm sure I'll get over it. lol

i played the PS2 version, but only for 10mins. i didnt like controlling the gun much, but whatever.

The Wii version really improved on the controls for me, and i love it.

Err... blood and gore (including decapitation & mutilation), intense violence, and language.

Chainsaws removing your head, shooting people's heads offs, things coming out from people's necks busting their head off or from where the head formally was.

People being eaten by various things, people burning to death, people being impaled by sharp objects.

This game is rated M for a good reason.

Language isn't that bad at all. F word isn't used at all...I think there is less than 5 "bad words" in the entire game...if that. But, I also wasn't counting...but the point stands, it's not that bad. Not like Scarface for instance.

I never had the pleasure of playing the GC or PS2 versions so my wii copy was my first go through and I loved it so much I did this

beat game on normal, beat separate ways, unlock everyone in mercenaries, beat assignment ada, start new file on pro.

pro is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard. I'm on chapter 3 but I have this annoying habit of running out of ammo in the biggest fight in the chapter and it's hard to knife past 50-100 guards ._.
