Which was your favourite Final Fantasy Classic?

You know, when i was playing the games then, i couldnt really tell which one was better then which. But its really when you start thinking back many years later that you realise what an experience it had brought to you. heres my list, from favourite to least favourite (but still favourite).

1. FF8

3. FFX

4. FFT

5. FF7

6. FF12

FF8 was really great, mainly because i was schooling at that time, and the game revolves around a school.. and FF9 followed very closely behind. Post yours too!

You're correct about the FF posts (a lot of people are excited about "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance A2" and "Final Fantasy IV" (DS 3-d remake) coming out (the new Tactics A2 comes out soon, in 1-2 days, buy it ASAP if you're an FF or Tactics fan, its gonna be awesome!).

I'm a really big FF fan (its my favorite game series, followed by Zelda and Castlevania), I loved FFVIII but my favorite one is FFVII (Cloud and Sephiroth are AWESOME), if you go to my blog there's a post of me going to an Anime Convention/Cos-play and buying the "Sleeping Lion Heart" necklace and ring (the necklace and ring Leon Squall from FFVIII wears), but I really love ALL FF's.

No love for the SNES & NES FFs? The series as a whole is definitly one of the best in the RPG genre. FFVI is definitly one of my all time favorite RPGs ever, followed by FFIX & FFVII.

The others didn't leave too much of an impression on me to even rank them in my list.

I only got to play FFVII, VIII, and IX for limited amounts of time, so they won't be on my list. I need to get those. >_>

wow.. i really feel short at hand here haha.. i never played any FFs before 7.. other than FF3, the DS port ones. i really wanna play the older ones, but i dont got a NES.. are the GBA ports any good? and which is which? i hear they changed the number's when the changed it to an englich gba port.. Final Fantasy II (Part of FF I & II on GBA) wasn't released outside Japan until then I think.

Final Fantasy III DS is a remake of a game that wasn't released outside Japan.

Final Fantasy IV was called FFII outside of Japan.

Final Fantasy V wasn't released ouside Japan until PS1/GBA.

Final Fantasy VI was called FFIII outside Japan. (I think, not quite sure).
