sorry if this is old, havent been on this board for a hot minute...
I was checking the screenshots for SSBB on the official site and i saw something strange with mario's hand, look

His hand is kind of super sizes, have anybody else noticed that?

I'm not sure if it's part of an existing attack animation, but his right hand definitely doesn't usually look like that...

It's a move that is definitely in melee, I can't remember exactly but I think you press A + side while in the air

Seriously- It's an attack thats in every SSB game it's one of his combat attacks I think

its his sideways + A in the air.... his foot also gets bugger if you tap A while on the ground... on the third kick, his shoe will be huge mario's one of my main guys, i would know

And in SSB the front smash is a super big punch

It's probably Mario gearing up to spike someone. That's one of his best moves / combos. Pick someone up, swing them behind you and off a cliff, spike them to finish them off, then super-jump back onto the platform. That combo is one of the reasons I know a lot of people that play as Mario.

Seriously Its in melee. I think only for some attacks. His foot super sizes too. I swear its in melee. not sure about 64

Don't all the Mushroom Kingdom characters do that with some attacks, or just Mario? I've never payed particularly close attention too it, but it's pretty hard to miss when someone does that. I'm amazed you never saw it.

Its the A up attack, (Not Smash)also included in Super Smash Bros Melee. Mario does a little spin and punches the air, whilst his hand inflates to a larger size. It happens quickly butif you look at it closly you'll notice it. It happenswith some of Ness' attacks too. For instance, Ness' dashing side-ways attack he pushes his hands forward whilst they inflate.

Yea his hands and feet always grow to add a cartoon-like exaggeration to his kick/punches. It's been like this since Mario 64 when Mario first went 3D, I would have thought more people would have noticed.
