I agree with "Megastarjosh", I would range the score between 80 and 85 %. It's a good Karting game (arguably the best). But it is still the same old formula. The online is gets pretty dull with all the snakers, and it lacks battle mode. Lots to do in the game, but you'll get tired of it and if you are good, you will finish the game pretty quickly.
i'm one of the few who think this game is a lil overrated. I say that because i just have so much more fun with Double Dash on the GC. The tracks in DD seem so much more fun, filled with more turns, twists and items than the DS version. It seems alot faster than the DS version. I think the DS version is still very good, especially for a handheld and for online play plus the missions mode, but i personally would have liked more "mario" fun in the racing, like the GC version. i'd give it about a 90 out of 100, with a chunk of those points going towards online play and missions mode, not necessarily gameplay.
Like most of you I agree the Wi-Fi play could have been WAY better. In the past me and my friends spent most of the time playing the battle mode. And i was honestly hoping to play battle mode online mostly but with that being absent and that the vast majority just snake all the courses really makes it a rather dull game after you beat all of the single player and missions.
I'd give it a 92% I don't like snaking and it's a shame that the game allows for it. I also don't like how not all the tracks are available for online play and that there is no wifi support for more than 4 players. The battle mode is also kind of forgettable too. Otherwise, it's a great game.
