i like brawl more.

that said, i figure most people will say melee because its more competetive. however, i think brawl is more competetive now that you can play with people other then your friends, even if it does lag a bit (haha, GL playing on random with only a "bit" of lag)

Meele is much more fast paced and requires more skill to really mast imo.

The way I look at this is Brawl wins.

Think of it this way, melee started it all a new aged SSB from the originall. Of course Brawl is going to have that melee "feel" to it, its the same point of the game...

The game play in melee is much fast which is what I feel turned a lot of people off to the wii version. Brawl however does indeed make it a lot easier to be able to perform well, but it also has the players who are amazing. Brawl is to me far more competitive. The single player options in brawl are endless andif you play competitively like I do, you can play for hours and hours on end, much liek you could with melee. Also the people you can play with are just perfect, they did it so well its crazy, took out the pointless ones and made great add ons.

Both are very high quality games, but brawl just simply out did melee.

All three were awesome, but I think brawl is the best.

My opinion is that brawl sucks..its kinda dumb you start with the new players and get the old players from melee such as marth ness and falco wtf we don't wanna get them again melee seemed more challenging like having to get the final destination stage and the characters we're like mega hard to get, but brawl i got all the characters in like 4 days.. then my friend played me with link and stopped playing when he lost his 1st life... they gayed up link and the game play.. No Wave Dashing? No Roy? No Mew two? yah that sucks monkey nuts.. and if you did'nt noticed that in SubSpace Emissary your a lot heavier than the actual vs matches i think its an epic fail game it should'nt even have the word super smash in it.. it aint nothing like ssbm or ssb_________ But i like how they put more characters and more stages But that was kinda obvious.. Some one better make a new 1, an update, or something cause they're killing me right now.zethswey

im sorry but this just doesn't make any sense, of course they would bring back falco,marth and ness... why wouldn't they? Mew two got swaped for lucario because they wanted to get more recent with the whole pokemon genre as a main playable person.

Brawl since it's the better party game. Plus, I no longer play Smash Bros. competitively but Melee is still fun to boot up once in a while.

Both great but Super Smash Bros Brawl seems to have much more to it. The stages are actually quiet good and some very good new additions to the roster. Melee had to many clone characters.

have both of them and i say brawl is way better.

Play Brawl for the single player, Play Mel for the gameplay. If you spent your days playing Mel you will end up disliking Brawl since it's slower and even more item based and a lot more random. For anyone that truly likes Brawl over Mel must have not played Mel with a friend. The overall game play is way better in Mel and the story mode is better in Brawl that's about it. Me and my friends would play Mel for hours and we find ourselves not even wanting to play Brawl after just playing it for a few days.

I play melee with a lot of my friends and believe me Brawl is a better game than melee, they slowed it down like the N64 version, there is so much to unlock and they added a true story mode for the series a lot of people hate brawl because they can't exploit the games flaws like in melee and to me that is not skill because you can't use glitches in your arsenal I just went to Otakon 2009 Anime convention and they had melee there I tried playing it and the speed to that game is crazy and I can't believe I use to play and win tournaments in that game. My friends and I know how to have a good time with smash brothers brawl I would like to play online with a few people from gamespot.

I don't see why anyone would choose Melee unless they loved Dr. Mario and are upset because Brawl took him out.

I suppose Brawl would be since it has an actual plot, but Melee really does have somethings that Brawl don't even have, like Roy & Mewtwo.
