Super Smash Bros. Brawl Roaster UPDATE! NEW INFO! MUST SEE!

All information reportidly comes from Masashiro Sakurai. First off the dearly departed: Young Link, the Ice Climbers, and Mr. Game and Watch have been scrapped. In their place will be Wind waker Link (basically Young Link cel-shaded) Bowser Jr., and Ridley from Metroid. Falco will be re-worked for the new game, and an estimated forty characters are expected to be selectable. 40! Among them fifteen new ones, and one or two third party harcters.

The information given is assumed true as it was taken from a radio interview. But none of it is officially announced. I expect an announcement soon, espicially considering that E3 is only three months away.

No, it's not. It's fake. It was fake months ago and it's still fake now. The fact that the 'source' said ridely is playable gives it away. Ridely would not work playable in the game, and if he was he wouldn't be Ridely he'd 'massively underpowered and smaller' Ridely which defeats the purpose. And he can fly.

To thaT-Masta - those roster pics look really, really dumb. Some of the character inclusions are cool, but a lot of it is just crap.. I hope the roster doesn't turn into a 3rd party affair, or filled with rubbish 1st party characters like Waluigi.

Tom nook is the most badass character nintendo has ever created. If nintendo dont include him in SSBB it will be because they know he will OWN all the other characters.

I liked young link, but for Ice Climbers and Mr. Game and Watch I don't really mind. As long as Kirby is there (my fav. and best character) I'm happy.Stuffed_Monkey

well it would still be young link if you think about it but with different attacks than the origanal Link.

idk if it's true or not, but if so, even though ice climbers and mr. game and watch sucked really, really bad i still think that sera and nintendo should have kept them in just for the variety. besides, it's not like they couldn't tweak the characters to make them better. but still...40 characters!? hopefully that part at least is true

oh and EDIT: Ridley? yeah i don't think so. how would a giant pterodactyl monster control, and how would he balanced with the other characters when he can fly?

People need to remember that Brawl is a sequel, it's a new and seperate game from Melee. If they tried to please everyone who playe Melee it would be night on impossible. Buying and playing Brawl doesn't mean Melee becomes extinct. So anyone worried about Falco changing, young link vanishing, or Sheik going 'poof' into the night, just remember, you still have Melee for all that, this is a new experience. Find a new character, part of the fun is going to be finding out which character you are best with. I mean what fun would it be if as soon as you turn it on you select 'Falco' because you rocked with him on Melee? You just may find you suck with him on Brawl, and no that wouldn't be Nintendo's fault for messin with his moveset, since it's not meant to replace Melee. It is a sequel.

I do believe most of this info is fake however, apart from thr 40 character bit, I mean MK Armageddon had 60, and it's a full 3d game, so I think it's possible.
