Alright folks,

Consensus time. I am wandering who has it downloaded from VC. I dont remember much of the game. I was too wrapped up in Shadows of the Empire and Perfect Dark at the time. I didnt play any Starfox until GCN. Who gives it thumbs up? A thumbs down? I need some opinion feedback please.

I have it, the gameplay holds up really well, kinda jarring that you can't save though.

I haven't played the port to Wii via VC but If you're talking about Lylat Wars, it was great. Just to clarify though, it's not an action adventure like Star fox on GCN, its an air combat game

It's an arcade type shooter on rails; I loved it back when I played it around 1998.

It's a great game. One of the few from its generation that has aged well. As others have mentioned, it's an on-rails shooter. It's not the longest game (you can beat it in about an hour), but the multiple routes you can take through it and the secret levels will make you want to play through it multiple times.

It's good if you like games of this type.

Suggestion:

Get the 3DS one.

As long as you can handle the dated graphics, you'll have a blast. Game is insanely fun and replayable. (I must have played through it at least twenty times and I know I will again in the future.)

Star Fox 64 is an awesome Nintendo 64 classic. It is a remake of the SNES game. It's much better than the GameCube games.

I have it on the 64 and the 3DS. It's a great game but VERY short. I'd only really recommend it to you if it's very cheap on VC or you like re-playing games a lot.

One of the best shooters of all time. I've owned both the 64 and 3ds one--I think the 64 version is better, mainly because the music and voice overs are more inspired.
