Splatfest! What did you think?

I for one loved it. It had that night theme with some neon lights and concert squid music. Along with the Squid Sisters cranking out the hits. Plus that the action was pretty good. I got up to Dog King and ended up with lots of super sea snails for upgrades. I earned my way to the ranking of Dog King while crushing all who stood before me.

I'm thinking that the game needs a night time mode now. That and the miiverse posts were riddled with cat vs dog posts. It was pretty cool to see the miiverse posts light up at night. It might have been a one night performance, but we need more of it. What did you think? Did you get to try it out? Did the holiday throw a wrench in your Splatfest plans?

I said I was going to play one game after I got home from work at 9pm, but I played for 3 hours and achieved Dog Champion title. My wife got the Cat Queen title. The cats were Vicious. The fireworks went along with the 4th of July celebration. The graffiti posts were a nice touch in the game made possible by the Gamepad-lets enjoy it while it lasts. I think we can expect to see more Splatfest events-can't wait.

Yeah the cats I fought were insane. I had to switch from my usual Turf Wars setup to my Ranked Mode gear. After that and I found a good team, we tore up some cats. I had a blast with it. I can see why they had to delay it for the west. Splatfest must have about brought the Japanese servers to their knees.

I missed it. Darn!

I think they should've came up with a different theme from what they used last time. Cats vs Dogs was good but I was expecting a new theme.

I'm sure that they will change themes. What it will be is a good question. I think it was a great preview of how teams will work in the August update. How the teams were made with Splatfest will probably handle the same way. Also it was good to see how it operates with 3 maps in the rotation. That should be happening soon too.

Last time? This is the first time isn't it? I thought they post-poned the last one to 4th of July? Also, they've done 2 for Japan and they changed it. So I'd imagine it's a new poll every time.

Anyway, I personally enjoyed it a lot. I got up to Eternal Rock Boy

I really enjoyed the overall concept and theme. I loved the Miiverse posts too. I also like how Japan actually got a sponsor for their second Splatfest. I hope we get a sponsored event too!

Got to Queen Dog title. The cats did seem pretty vicious. Declaw them all!!!

Had to play some rounds against dogs, but I figured it would be a win win no matter which team won.

Was on dog team and enjoyed the battles even though I had to battle other dogs. Summer is great for water rides but I'm going for Roller Coasters as I feel it may be the popular choice. I'll gamble that I'll win more snails.

Well the second Splatfest is over. I voted Sleeping (over eating). Unfortanately, we lost. Eating won in popularity, Sleeping won in battles, and Eating won overall. GG Team eating. I at least got to Eternal rank:

lol I was in the same boat. I picked team Waterslides and we won in popularity but lost in the battles. But the battles were weighted higher so we ended up losing. I got with a great team and we rolled on a lot of people and we still lost in battles. This means that there must have been some bad slider teams. lol the worst part is that I blew through all of my super sea snails and am stuck waiting for the next Splatfest. I want at least one a month now. I'm addicted.

So much for my gambling that Rollercoaster would be most popular. Glad it worked out for me even if they weren't the most popular they were the better players. Maybe some younger players picked water slides. Got 24 snails again.

I hate it that your special shirt disappears after the event is over. Leveling it up is a waste.
