Yeah, probably... but hey, the DS is selling better, so maybe that would make developers give it a second glance. It would really be awesome to have a DS SC game though, as long as the possible touch-screen controls weren't too annoying or out-of-place (or they could just ignore them entirely).

Agreed. But it would be even better if games like soulcalibur, tekken, ext' were made for ds

In my experiances, fighting games on handheld systems usually stink. There has been maybe two expections to this, but I wouldn't hold out hope over soulcaliber being another.

Fighting games usually crash and burn on hand held systems. Specially the DS. I mean, look at Guilty Gear Dust Strikers.

I agree, I think it might be a bit difficult to do all the attacks using the touch screen...

Haven't heard of Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars? The best fighting game for DS and its said to be very great especially if you're an anime addict.

J!US and Bleach DS are good fighting games. too bad they're only in japan.

I don't think that fighting games are would be that bad. If they put a bit more effort into making a game, then it would probably suceed.

i dont think ds is a great system for fighting games because in fighting games the graphics make up a lot of it. Plus what the hell would you do with the bottom pad in a fighting game.

Who knows - although really it wouldn't surprise me seeing a Soul Calibur Legends on the DS since that is coming for the Wii... but who knows, that would be a good game. The DS doesn't really have any stand out fighting games does it?

The reason why that game was bad is because they used the Dual Screen horribly. other than that, It was a good game.

Hmm... I'm pretty sure a homebrew developer's making a sprite-based version of SSB, I think it's called Super Smash Bros Clash or something, I dunno. But I think if Namco could make a DS Soul Calibur successful and did what PSZ and KH 358/2D did; use 3d models and ignore touch screen commands. But releasing it on the PSP would force me to get one. I'd get one just for that, Crisis Core and KH BBS.

Yeah, I'd see it more likely coming to the PSP as well. I'm not sure how playable/pretty it would be on the DS.

there IS a soulcalibur for PSP. and making a DS one is an even worse idea than a wii one. no offense, i love my DS too, but the controls wouldnt work in a fighting game. BTW *suddenly realizes the date of the original post* AW COME ON, STOP BUMPING OLD THREADS!!!!! anyways, congratulations for the TC for being the first person i've seen in a looooooong while (possibly the first person ever, after me) that actually knows that its "soulcalibur", not "soul calibur".
