I loved Advance Wars for the advance, but hated it on DS. I haven't played THPG, so my advice is pretty useless for you.

Why do you hate the ds version.

I don't really know why. Maybe presentation, or gameplay. Shrug. I guess it just wasn't meant for me, but there's plenty of people that like it so...

Dual Strike. I don't have it, but from what I've heard... 9.2 and editors choice. How can you pass that up, aye?

Advance Wars get my vote here, and i personally have something against Tony Hawk games, since they are like almost forever the same and never seems to die out of sequels....

But if u have just played the GBA's Advance Wars not too long ago, the DS one might make you feel bored, since the gameplay and stuff is really pretty much the same. Then again, it's a great game, especially if u have a bunch of friends playing it too...

Isn't there a new Advance Wars coming out soon (next year sometime)? Maybe you should hang on for that one - and get Tony Hawk for now? Although I haven't played Tony Hawk so I can't really vouch for it.

Even with the new Advance wars coming out I would still say get Dual Strike! Its great, I have put in almost 40 hours to that game and that is triple what I usually spend on a game.

I say wait and get the new Advance Wars in January. It has online play! :P If you need something now though, then I'd go with Tony Hawk, and then get Advance Wars if possible in January.

Since you like advance wars games I would definitely say advance wars. I liked it even better than the two on the gba. The campaign mode is a little easier and they remade a lot of maps to make them more doable to all audiences but there is still plenty of challenging maps. The thing that I liked better is that there is much more variety. Tons of new gameplay features and a bunch of new modes. I have played sk8land and have liked it but Advance Wars would be my top choice.

if you like tony hawk games, i would definently recommend THPG. despite what some people above may say (the ones that HAVENT PLAYED it...) the controls are extremely responsive, its got excellent replay value, and wi-fi is awesome.

THPG gets my vote 100%.

I say get AW now, and the one in January too. I think the best Tony Hawk, was Tony Hawk 4. After that, they got a bit worse, and continued being the same. The sequels are still pretty good, but all the same really, so there is no point in getting the next one, but that is no point to dislike the series either.
