does anybody remember the shenmue game on dreamcast? it was the most expensive game ever at the time or something like that...now that is a port i would like to see...rather than call of duty, anybody else agree with me?hattyporterlol Call of Duty. I'd like to see a PowerStone 3. That was an awesome 3D party fighting game franchise.(The first one was 2 player, but the second had 4 player support.)
that was one of the best games i have ever played. you were some guy in japan and had to get a job at the docks as a forklift driver - right?richie894lol yeh, very broad. A guy kills your father and you go after him seeking revenge. The problem with them doing Shenmue is they'd have to bring over the 1st and 2nd ones to the Wii before they could really continue the series with the 3rd one. I am hoping to god they do because I truely love everything about the game. My luck, since shenmue 2 was released on xbox that they will get #3 on the 360 which I don't have which would then make me sad.
Well they could just create a whole new story, but keep the gameplay mechanics. That way they wouldn't have to bring over parts 1 & 2. jbrittainyeh, but anybody that is a fan wants to see the end of the story they been following. That would be like (weird example here) but like LOTR being a game only and you only seeing the first 2 then they use the same stuff but make a whole new story and you never see the end of the one you were following. Hope that makes sense. I mean I would go for the same type of thing but I'd really love to see the end of the story too.
That was one of my favorite games. I enjoyed the first on Dreamcast and the 2nd one on Xbox.pjmthomasI enjoyed it so much I imported the JP version for the DC just to play it lol. I then realized they released it over in the UK and got that. But yeh #2 has only been released in the states on the xbox, was good although for people that never played it, the dvd thing was kinda weak explaining #1 but it was certainly better than nothing.

That's totally understandable, but they'd be alienating an entire new audience to bring it back now. It's been so long since the last Shenmue game came out that it wouldn't be worth it to complete the series with a third one and confuse all of the people who haven't played the other 2. If they wanted to make a new Shenmue, they'd make more money by just making an all new one with a new story and everything.

I do agree somewhat on it being a long time, it's sad the game from what I know didn't do too well. I thought it was brilliant personally.
I never played it.....I'd like to get the chance though :)lzorroTrust me, that game was brilliant, it was apparantly the first FREE game (I totally forgot what the acronym actually stood for though :P)

It was originally supposed to be a 16 part game I believe. I believe the original may still be the most expensive game ever made. Wasn't it in production for like 10 years?pjmthomasi'm sure the wiki site says something about it. I know it was originally being made for the Saturn, which no doubt added to a lot of the production costs i'd imagine. It is into parts but I don't think it was 16. Each game was going to have multiple parts in it, I think #2 3 parts to it or something, not sure on the first one though.
Instead of a remake, how about a new Shenumi game. FireEmblem24as long as they do something, i'd be for it, I don't want to see the series or game die out
that game is 1 game i loved. i remember spending hours in the arcade and buying raffels. if this game actually ports over it would make my year.exds01I was addicted to that punching game lol
