I wouldn't bother doing this on RBY now, as all the original 150 are available on DPP generation games. Also, FireRed and LeafGreen on GBA are the exact same games, only a lot more accessable and much nicer presented, so it might be less of a chore to do it that way.
I have pokemon red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, crystal, FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Saphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum at the minute, but the only reason i managed to get my hands on the old ones was cos I worked in a game store that sold retro stuff, and the newer ones the missus tends to buy whichever one I don't have. I'd hate to be tracking them down on ebay or anything, cos it took a few years of trade in's and a bit of pure luck to get them!
Like I say, don't bother with the original GrayBoy versions, get the GBA ones, then you can even trade em to DPP, whereas if you do it in the originals you can't do anything with em!
