Well first off, thanks for being rude, and secondly, I know that but just wanted to create more of a discussion thread about the whole channel in general, instead of people just announcing that it is here. Well, I really hope they have Flash 9(Which I believe is the newest(No, not the dev flash, I realize the actual animation kit is still in 8, but the plug-in for sites is at 9) instead of 7, then we can watch IGN vids. So I don't like that, also, they should have some Quicktime and WMP plug-ins(Plug ins like I said, not the actual program) if possible, and yes, they are rivals of MS in the console market, but Windows PCs for example come with QT and iTunes often.
I just used it for like 15 minutes, and my Wii didn't freeze up, so it's fine with me. People want so much out of it, but I think most people have a PC for browsing the net anyways, don't see why the Wii browser needs to have so many features? It's cool if I want to check my email laying in bed or something, it has it's uses, but does anyone really use it as their primary net browser?

I'm posting now from the new browser and besides the cosmetic features, I noticed sites that didn't work right before (like this one) work now. Especially videos, dailymotion and other video sites work now.
I just used it for like 15 minutes, and my Wii didn't freeze up, so it's fine with me. People want so much out of it, but I think most people have a PC for browsing the net anyways, don't see why the Wii browser needs to have so many features? I do because my computer fried during a Winter snowstorm here, and I can't afford to get a computer, so I use this.
I like how you can get rid of the tool bar on the bottom of the screen. I also like the fact that the flashing arrows around the side of the screen arn't there.

It will if you download it after June So since i got it now, its free, or do i just have to download it later for money? Once you downloaded it you're alright. No need to re-download, so it's free from now on.

That sucks, man, seriously. But you are in the minority. Nintendo isn't going to put that much work into making it work just like firefox or something because most people have other means for browsing the net. It's more of a novelty that a real, practical internet browser. I think it suits it's purpose for what it is, but I never expected more out of it than what it is. I think it's safe to assume that if you have your Wii online you most likely also have a PC (unless you're stealing bandwidth).
I gotta tell you guys, I'm loving it! They pretty much fixed every problem in this new version. Two big thumbs up for Opera team! Maybe that Wiiminder site will work better now :D

Well we still have a wireless router, but I mean I get where you're coming from 100%, but its the little things like copy & paste, or flash players that keep it from being the absolute convienence Nintendo said it'd be.
There have been some changes to the wii internet since the browse nothing exactly special but its a start. Hopefully throughout the year there will be more updates and the internet channel will improve over time
