DS is about as powerful as an N64, they pulled off a good port of SM64 and it was as fun as the original.

I never really got a chance to play Majora's Mask and I would really love to play it on a handheld. The 3D world would be amazing.

Ocarina of Time has been released 3 times since the original: twice on the gamecube (collector's edition, master quest), and once on the virtual console It could handle it, but there isn't really a need. Majora's Mask is on the virtual console as well

There are definately enough buttons! Touch screen could handle item spots, and B and A for attacking and special, L for lock...

Aren't they both already on the Wii's VC?

If Nintendo released them on the DS they'd have to release every VC game on the Wii to DS. That's why they'll never do it.

You fanboys/girls and your needs. Pfft.

Although it can work, Super Mario 64 proves that you need a analog stick to make it truly work.

Yeah, and what about the C stick? How the hell do I play my Ocarina without a C stick?!

Use your imagination. Get the item out, and play with the freaking stylus.

But Zelda games don't have as much platforming elements. And SM64 did a good job of using digital controls and smoothing them out so I think it would work.

Nope. Sick of ports. Get it on VC or pick up an N64 (they're great). And Nintendo, make me some new game please

Because of the controls and possibly the graphics, I don't think they would be able to do a direct port, if anything they would have to do a re-make of it like they did with Super Mario 64.

The DS doesn't have texture filtering, which means OoT and MM would look very blurry on the DS. Plus, MM needed the N64 expansion pack, which added a whole lot of power to the N64 that the DS doesn't have. Add the controls issue to that and it's impossible, unless they remake it.

Much as I would love to splash on that port (Ocarina), I reckon if ANYTHING it will one day be a Downloadable game you pay quite a bit for.

Should that be an example I should use? I heard it played terrible on the DS compared to elsewhere. And it's not like we need OoT on the DS. I mean, it may just be me but why would you want to play a game like that on the go? Whats wrong with waiting until you get home to play? =/

I never want to see a topic that has the words "port" and "Zelda/OoT" in it again.

hmm, I've beaten these games countless times on my n64, then the master quest on the gamecube couple times, and finally I've beaten them in my free time on my laptop (gaming during a college class ftw!). You know what sure I would love them on my ds !

Touch screen = Unlimited buttons, my friend.

Edit:

Forgot to say:

They would make SOOOO much money if they did that, but of course Nintendo will not.

Also, they could make it a DSi exclusive, and make even more money. Also, the DSi is more powerful than the N64 (If I am not mistaken).
