...Why in the world would they do that?:? I already own the original copies,so I'm in no rush to buy the Trilogy, but I wasn't going to buy it immediately, and I probably still won't buy it immediately.
Luckily we already have it. My brother got it for his birthday.
But anyway, as long as they're still selling the original Prime 3 (as that version is better), it shouldn't be a problem. (We still have the original as well)
They want to sell only limited quantities of Metroid Prime Trilogy?
Okay...smart like sticks they are.
I played Prime 1 & 2 on my brothers Game Cube when they first hit, I picked up Prime 3 last year for my Wii. I don't know that I'd ever make any use of all three games for the Wii format. It does sound enticing, but seems redundant, which kills it for me with any purchase. This is also why I don't own any NES games on the Virtual Console. I still play my NES.
There still seem to be enough copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy where I am and since I deem it a bit pricey currently, I'll wait. No need to stress for me.
Man, I should have put it on my Christmas list. :(
Looks like I'll have to use my Christmas money to buy it now.
damn i was going to wait for it to go down down in price, as i still need nsmbwii. :( i'll still wait, there will be plenty of copies on ebay.Mckenna1845It was $20 right before xmas at best buy and $30 at target. Dont think they have any deals on it now though.
Its not always about money. Sometimes Collectors Edition really means Collectors Edition.
So an unhealthy obsession with WoW has led to me neglect my Wii for the past few years. Finally deciding to quit, and excited by the upcoming Metroid: Other M, I decided to pick this up....8 months after it was discontinued. Can't find it retail anywhere on the net, not at any Gamestop, and the Ebay prices are, of course, inflated. I mean, its been discontinued for twice as long as it was out.
But I'm a lucky man. I live in a very small town that aparently has very few Metroid fans. Went to our local Wal Mart and they still had 3 copies left. So got to pick one up without the inflated "discontinued collectors edition" price.
So if anyone in driving distance from Parker AZ really wants this thing, the Wal mart has 2 left. :)
There are plenty still in stores. Maybe people aren't realising the great deal they are missing out on. :?
When Nintendo means limited edition they mean limited edition.Sup with that? It doesn't sell? It sells too much (maybe they want to sell MP3 separately)?

Also I just realised this thread is two months old.
I like the way they are promoting the used game market, the same used game market that is taking food right out of the mouths of these poor game developers and more importantly their near brassic publishers. Its one thing after another with this game :x I was already ****ed off we didn't get the tin case in the UK... apparently tin is a rare commodity here.
