Yeah, it was pretty short and pretty easy. Is there really any point to this thread? If you've read some of the reviews online, that's what most of them say...
I didn't think that the game was too easy, I think it got harder at the end, and I don't think that it was too short, especially if you try to collect all the coins in each level, and unlock all bonus levels.
Yes it is. And the game feels short exactly because of that since on past Mario platformers you would spend almost an hour to get through some of the harder levels.
I don't know if there is (as have only just purchased the game) but isn't there some super super hard mode similar to the old super mario bros game where there is no floor and invisible blocks and stuff??
It was easy, sure. But Mario games aren't exactly known for their extreme difficulty. It's one thing for a game to be easy, but it's quite another when a game is so easy that it becomes excruciatingly boring to play (something I'm dealing with right now with The Legendary Starfy). I think NSMB had excellent level design and a lot of replay value. Plus, its lack of difficulty was a little deceptive - I found myself dying repeatedly in some areas solely due to overconfidence.
I think the difficulty level was perfect, just like Super Mario World.
