When I see someone that posts something about them throwing there Wiimote into there "expensive" HD tv I just think there idiots. For one before you play EVERY game for the Wii it says make sure your Wrist strap and nunchuck are on right, I mean what idiot gets mad at a gaming company for something they did. And I know the straps break occasionally but come on you dont have to swing it THAT hard. Anyone agree?

This issue is kind of old and done with. I think people realize that the strap is there for a reason, and most people who own it probably know not to go full out.

Its weird, for some reason people think they're holding the real ball and try the chuck it down court.

I've yet got to play a game that requires a lot of strenght while waving the wimote. In case your hands are made of butter they made the wrist strap and now they even reinforced it.

Nintendo's next move will probably be to cover wiimotes with a layer of glue, or to retail the WiiNet, a fishing net to be placed in front of the tv during gaming sessions.

That whole problem is rediculous. Thats like me saying:

"I'm sueing Sony for breaking my TV! I was playing PS2 and couldnt beat the second boss in god of war, so I threw my controller at the TV."

Not exactly the same. But Im calling who ever breaks the TV from Wii Sports or any other game an idiot.

You dont even have to throw an actual bowling ball that hard to get a strike in real life..

Yet real bowlers who go outside of league times have to deal with idiots all the time who think the object is to throw the ball either as fast as humanly possible, or to see how far down the lane they can loft the ball in the air before it actually lands.

I'm in my 30s, but I very much "get into" the games when I'm playing, particularly the Wii Sports stuff. Yeah, I "know" I don't have to swing the Wiimote hard like a tennis racket, nor do I have to actually do backhands and overhand smashes just because the ball comes in that way (a simple forehand flick of the wrist is technically all that is ever needed) - but I have more fun standing up and working up a sweat swinging like it was the real thing. I use the strap, but I've never had to actually rely on it - even sweaty I've never actually lost my grip on the Wiimote. I think throwing the Wiimote is just being careless.
