The Points will most likely be tied to the Nintendo Network ID, wonder if the rewards will be better than what Club Nintendo had. Some rewards will be theme park related so this means maybe some Nintendo based rides are coming to a theme park near you? Not only do you get Points for buying the games and systems, you gain Points for playing and reaching certain levels in games. Maybe the Points Score will also be tied to your Mii.

Funny thing is, if this does turn out to be like a gamer score, but the points have actual value that you can use for purchases. People will then complain, that their score has to go down when they buy things.

Id rather get free stuff than have a score that means nothing

Their new initiative does sound like they have a solid vision for the future. I'm looking forward to this and the NX.

The Amiibo figures will most likely reward gamers with Points as well. Wonder if they will still actual rewards like Club Nintendo did.

How are you guys using your MyNintendo Points? Are you mostly buying games or Miitomo options. Do you guys think there will ever be physical rewards again? Will the MyNintendo Points become like Achievements and Trophies on the NX?

The rumors are saying that NX will play phone apps very well. So its a safe guess that Miitomo will be a featured app on the NX. Maybe Miiverse and Miitomo will be merged on the NX in some form of way. It would be nice to get the MyNintendo Points for in game accomplishments though. Since that sort of support is not in place on the Wii U and 3DS.

@Coolyfett: So far I've gotten the Twilight Princess Picross game and Metroid Fusion from the service. It's not bad so far, but it could be better. I currently have about 2,000 platinum coins and I really don't have anything to spend them on.
