I am getting some money this week and i have narrowed down my selection of games to two being MP:H and AW: DS now i need your help to decide which one i should get.

Depends on what your going for, Personally i would go with advanced wars, Hunters is a good game but i would personally take AW especially if you played any of the older games and liked them.

Personally, I thought they were both very stale games. I've seen so many good reviews of the Advance Wars games, but I don't see why it appeals to so many. Then again, I've pretty much played PC RTS/TBS my whole life and the whole concept lacks originality. So if you've played PC RTS/TBS, you probably won't be impressed at all by Advance Wars, if you haven't--it's probably pretty good.

Same goes with Metroid and PC FPS. Personally I preferred the 2D metroid GBAs---if you haven't got those, get them. I play console/portable games for originality, and TBS/RTS/FPS is USUALLY (keyword) a set of borrowed concepts--or just plain out-done by comparative PC games.

Advance Wars was great all around, Metroid had good multiplayer but awful single player so go with Advance Wars.

AWDS is a great game, esspecially if you have a few buddies with it (it takes a long time to do a good game, but it is a lot of fun). Personally i never got into Metroid, i prefer the 2d sidescrolling metroid. AWDS can last you a very long time, but i suppose with online so can Hunters (if you get into it). YOu really can't compare the two, they are different genres offering different experiances, my suggestion? See if you can pick up both used (or at sale price, i have a few local stores that occasionally run 2 for 1 deals on the DS, PS2, XBOX, and GCN.

If you like Shooters you'll like MPH for sure If you like Strategys you'll like AW Both of them is realy realy good, but depends on whitch you like more Strategys or Shooters

Well, ofc it depends on what you'd like but I myself would go for Advance wars, why? I liked the missions/story but it is also great to just play big and small maps against the computer, some serious tactics can be made, I also got MP:H and its fun but it is basicly just shooting, which doesnt appeal that much to me.

Advance Wars, no question about it. It's the best game on the DS in my opinion. It has already provided me with over 100 hours of entertainment and I still have a lot to do in the game.

i dont have AWDS but i got MPH single player sucks and online is fun... I'd say most of my time for that game goes for online! only played 30% complete offline...to boring and repatative

Listen to this guy. I bought both, MP:H single player is okay but online means cheaters. AW is a lot of fun single player, and quite a time sucker. I love it.

I possess both MP:H and AWDS and I'd have to go with AWDS for replay value and long-lasting life. From a single player perspective, MP:H single player mode is very, VERY shallow, and lacks the depth of story and intrigue presented from its former incarnations. AWDS has hours upon hours of fun, the campaign mode is lengthy but entertaining. As for online, MP:H is shines, however I have to warn you about the wide amount of hackers out there that destroy the online fun factor. If I had to choose a DS game between the two, I'd root for AWDS.
