Metroid Other M, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor Officially Delayed.

Coming from an official press release.

Metroid: Other M is delayed till August 31st, 2010. S&P: Star Successor is delayed to June 27th, 2010.

There are other days for WiiWare title's as well.

Was hoping I would be able to play Metroid before college started.

Great news. More time to collect money/play more SMG 2.

Meh. Like I said, I expect that with Nintendo, a delayed game means it can get extra polish.

Delayed the better. I kinda of expected Metroid: Other M to be delayed because I was thinking of when Ninja Gaiden for the xbox was delayed.

Well, at least this gives me more time to clean out my backlog a little bit. Also catch up on other games I haven't bought and played yet.

The bad news is that I wanted to play Metroid Other M before College starts again but the good news is that now I an spent my money on SMG 2, MH Tri, and maybe Trauma Team and Fragile Dreams.

Plus, Sin and Punishment 2 is still coming out in the summer.

likewise, and that seems like august has been the release window for the most of the recent metroid games as well so im not too surprised. I would have liked to see it come out on time but im fine with them spreading out the releases since theres so many other titles i now have a chance to play. And its kinda cool that it comes out the day after my birthday.

The delay isn't so bad. The reasoning makes sense. They wanted people to enjoy SMG2 and S&P2. I thought the games were being released too soon next to each other.ASK_Story

I completely agree. 3 big titles altogether may affect the sales of each other.

Other M is close to the Holidays.

I was planning on waiting a month or two before I picked up Other M, so this doesn't bother me... I still need to finish MPT anyway. And I don't really know anything about Sin & Punishment so I have no idea whether I'll be getting that anyway so this news doesn't bother me really. My summer looks set to be a binge of SMG2, MPT and then if I get round to it I'll try beating No More Heroes and Okami.

Metroid is not a holiday title, its releasing in August, a summer month. Zelda andMario are holiday titles. Since Mario is coming out in May, Zelda is definately Nintendo's holiday title this year.

Why? Nintendo never seems to put anything good in there. For me the Wii Shop has been a major disappointment.

I'm cool with it. More time to make the game even better. Also, it wasn't too good an idea to have Mario Galaxy 2 and Other M releasing so close together.

Good. Metroid can only be released in august.

At least now Sin and Punishment 2 won't go completely unnoticed between both of those flagship titles.

So they finally figured out that releasing three kick-ass games in one and a half months time was not such a good idea.

That's fine. I'm still working on Metroid Prime 2 on the Trilogy disc. Metroid: Other M can wait, especially if the delay makes it a better quality game.

No worries here, just means I could play it after basic training.

hehe itskind of funny that nobody's upset. This delay is good for me cause I'll have more time to finish MH3 and SMG2 and maybe LOZ:TP in preparation for the new one.

? Im upset boo Nintendo..I dislike delays ...plus I usually juggle/play around 3 games at the same time anyway...even if it was release on the original date, you still have time to play/pace yourself anyway..I don't understand why ppl say they feel rushed??..
