in actuality NSMB, while very fun, was VERY easy. the reason why i'm saying this is because i've NEVER finished a super mario game in my life. considering someone in my position (aka sucks at platform games), i was very surprised i was able to beat the game at all. granted i haven't gone back to collect all the special coins for each stage, i still beat the game regardless.
that being said, that aspect of the game should keep you busy on the plane. i would suggest metroid prime hunters ONLY if you have a DS PHAT. the form factor of the DSL is so small that you're hands WILL cramp up when playing the game given the nature of the control scheme. FF3 shouldn't be too bad, and as a matter of fact should be a no-brainer as far as length is concerned. i've yet to buy the game but considering most reviewers have said that the game is more difficult than other ff games you SHOULD be preoccupied with it.
EBA is fun, and i'm kind of surprised you don't like it. while most games on DS are fun, EBA is one of the rare fun games that actually puts the DS's touch screen to good use. and i guess the other game that has that capability is that one Wario game that i can't remember the name of.
