well, i immediaetly noticed a difference on the main screen. Someone described the composite cables as making it look like someone smeared vaseline on the screen. So the main screen definetly looked a lot clearer. I put in Zelda TP Wiiand , though it does not look as blurry, it does look rather grainy. So I tries RE4 Wiiwhich looked horrible with the composite. There is some improvement but still, very grainy, and lots of "jaggies". So thinking that maybe since those were gamecube ports I'd try Super Mario Galaxy. And it does look a lot better. Definetly not as grainy as the first two games, some jaggies as one would expect, but definelty better.

So is this what everyone else has experienced using componet cables? That the gamecube ports will look much worse than a true Wii game? (And yes I changed my settings)

I'm sure I'll stick with the components since it does take a lot of the bluriness away, I just expected a little bit better of a picture.

Pretty much. If you think you saw jaggies, you should check out some of the Dreamcast games using a VGA cable, all the imperfections are multiplied considerably. Still, Sonic Adventure was beautiful on a VGA screen.

I noticed this as well especially with twilight princess. Though wind waker still looked awesome if not better with the new cables.

Everyone who has used the component cables sees a better picture

That's why if you have a TV set that can use component and you're NOT using component then you = wrong

I was just surprised at how grainy the gamecube ports looked with the component cables. i mean SMG looks good but RE4 especially and Zelda too look like they are behind some kind of filter...I dont know how else to describe it other than just grainy. Ill have to throw in Mario Kart and Brawl but I guess the gamecube ports arre just gonna look grainy and ill have to live with it. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt just me:)

I agree RE4 and TP do look fairly grainy. SMG and especially Metroid Prime 3 look fan*******tastic with component cables however. F-Zero GX looks sweet as well.

I don't have money to spend on component cables.

It wouldn't help me anyway because I have a standart TV.

Even with an HD TV, It probably makes very little difference.

Makes the picture less blurry? Mario Galaxy wasn't blurry to begin with.

I noticed difference with the component cables almost immediately, mind you I got them all at the same time so I didn't have a lot of time to see the Wii W/o component cables, but still really colorful games look much better.

Forget component cables.

Have nintendo just put in a faster processor and bigger graphics card and call it a day.

I know what they are, they are similar to those HD cables except they are missing a plug. (Xbox 360 has 6, Wii component has 5)

I don't have a TV for those extra plugs, so it doesn't really matter.

commonent cables are not expensive. I found some no name ones for $3 or so and they work beautifully. I actually but more then one set so when i move the wii from tv to tv house to house i dont have to unhook all the wires.
