I live in Australia, the land of extreme milkage, and resident evil 4 at it's cheapest costs $60usd over here. Should I submit to extreme milkage and get the game or simply give up gaming? Moving to another country is not an option.

I really want to play the wii version of the game. I have never played resident evil 4 before all the way through. Only spent a few hours with the gamecube version and i loved it.

I never played Resident Evil 4 until I bought the Wii Version. I love this game and if it were $60us in the states then I still would have purchased it. After buying this I now understand what all the fuss was about when this game came out.

If you can manage to rent it a few times and beat it then take advantage. Don't spend a lot money on videogames, it's just not worth it.

Considering it's the best Wii game out now, I'd say yes it's worth it. Better that than spending $60 on Red Steel or Far Cry.

Not 100% sure but i dont know why you couldnt buy one from America and ship it to Australia. It might be a little bit cheaper (don't know shipping costs) and because of no online there shouldn't be a problem playing it on your wii.

$60 US sounds reasonable. Wii games here are at least $49.99. If you haven't played it on GCN it's definately worth it.

i really do not like first person shooter type games, its almost a sort of hatred for them, i have not had one of my own since the first doom came out on dos. i did borrow a resident evil game for the psone when it first cam out all those years ago.

that being said, i am very seriously and strongly thinking of buying this game myself as it looks really cool. still doing some research into it but it is on my "maybe" list.

The cheapest I could find was $80 at EB over here. Looked all over. Thats about $65usd now.

Which sucks considering the game should cost no more than $40.

Nonetheless you guys have convinced me to buy it, yes I have spent more money on crap games before, so naturally i have this constant fear of doing it again.

I just hope resident evil 4 has good replay value and keeps my interest for at least a few weeks. I plan to finish it at every difficulty setting.

Well cheers, thanks for the sound advice.

WOW, why is it $60USD and only $30 in us/canada? That sounds like quite the rip off to me, although this game specifically, it is worth it. you get a lot of good gameplay for the money's worth.

I'd also check out EBAY for an AU version of the game for a cheaper price.

I can teach you guys how to get past the region lock. I think this only works with gamecube games but i'm not sure. What you do is enter a normal game, start it up. Then immediately unload the disc, and re-enter the new disc. You can get past the region lock by doing so. I think it only works with gamecube games. Never experimented with international wii discs.

What? U live in Australia, yet u only have to pay 60$ for re4 Wii edition? I live in Europe and my version cost over 70$ and it was actually pretty cheap. buy it even if u've got it on GC, PS2 or PC. Playing with the Wii Remote is fun. And easy, I mean even one of my friends who was really bad at the game on GC, got over 200k in Mercenaries (with Leon!)

Go buy it now. If you've never played it its worth the regular price of a game.

If you have, its worth the $30 they charge here in the U.S... maybe more really.

I love RE4 and even though I only paid $35 for mine, I would say it's worth more than that.

The game has tremendous replay value and sub-quests after you finish the primary campaign, if not for the shooting galleries which are good for working out your agressions.

So I would say... yeah

That title goes to Zelda.

But yeah, even though I've never played it on the Wii, RE4 is still my favorite game of all time on the GC. I can't imagine it getting better.
