Is Pokemon Platnium is going to be just like Diamond and Pearl because everyone says it is not.

It's like Emerald. Same place different story (that's tied to it all) and the Pokemon places and times and everything are changed.

i know no one can likely give me a definate answer to this, but i never played emerals, i havnt really played diamond, should i just wait and play platinum instead?

Dude...Its the same Pokemon as the Gameboy ones only prettier and has like 20 SUPA EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL EDITION pokemon.If you played any of them its the same exprience.

I hope they will make Platinum harder...D&P were kinda easy next to Emerald

For the most part. However they will had more features and a couple of new areas. Also there may be more snow because the region is going through somewhat of an iceage. And the story will be a little different. But it still takes place in Shinnoh.

Mostely, yes. Here are some changes that have been verified:

1. You will be able to catch Giratina along with Dialga and Palkia.

2. Your trainer will get new clothes.

3. There will be an alternate demension type thing to go to.

4. If you have Regigigas, and transfer him to your Pokemon Platinum through Diamond or Pearl, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel will play a part in the story.
