#2 Super Smash Bros. Brawl has four different control schemes, two of which use the Wii controller. The Wii-Remote is mine and many people's preferred way of playing the game.
There's no irony in it whatsoever.

i think he's talking about the motion sensitivity. but then again, for a game like SSB, the motion controls might actually get in the way and feel tacked on while limiting the use of the other control schemes due to lack o' motion.

I turn on motion controlled Smash moves with my setup. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I think it adds a lot to the experience.

Yep, you can customize the Wii-Remote to use motion controlled Smash attacks. Comes in real handy.
wow! i never knew that! thanks! i'm gonna check it out
Okay firstly I assume by number one game you mean that it is your favourite because as posted below, even excluding Wii Sports SSBB still isn't the Wiis best selling title, in fact it's got quite a way to go based on the last set of figures Nintendo released. But I'm afraid you've slightly lost me here, as you've said the game can be configured to use motion controls for certain attacks even though you've also stated it's ironic that it doesn't use motion controls. If you mean to say that it's ironic the game isn't entirely motion based or that by default the Wiimote controls don't have any motion controls set then we start heading out of the realms of irony and frankly the reason for that is obviously that the majority of people find it easier without motion controls, they may be kind of fun but they're not as practical in this kind of situation.
What EmperorZeruel was most likely trying to say is how come it isn't movement related not asking if it uses the remote at all.#1 Grammar really isn't your friend.

Not really. Even if it didnt use the Wiimote it wouldnt be too ironic to me really.
The controls for Brawl offer the WIimote functionality. i dont know what you are talking about.
Yeah, pretty ironic for a console designed for people to flail around like idiots, but it's Smash Bros! Motion controls would butcher the standard Nintendo created for the series and apparantly, the fans don't mind it a bit.katamari_roller
no it wouldnt because it has some motion controls that work fine.

It's more annoying than it is useful. You basically flick your wrist in the direction you want to smash attack (gets tiring really quickly and can be unresponsive sometimes). Feels more like they tacked that option on just to make it feel like they tried to use the motion controls in some way.
