Well Nintendo still has 2 months of announcments for this game befor it comes out. Also lots of people think the new surprise form Nintendo might have something to do with Wii headsets. For now here are all the things known about the online play with Brawl.
i heard there is goin to be oreset things you can say or something like that its on the website. and i guess there are to options for online you can play people you dont know or people on your friends list and i believe you can hold tournements
It will be AWESOME because people won't drop out to keep their records perfect. It'll just be casual, "I don't give a damn if I got waveshined or swept" brawling

I don't mind the no ranking systems or leaderboards that much. What I do mind is that you can't see people's usernames. So what if someone's username is explicit? If you're offended by that, don't play online! That's proof that Nintendo wont release a headset.
Well i just hope there better be some way to talk to ppl but a headset would be great like you can talk to ppl before the match starts and ends that it to say Good Luck and Good Game.
Its limited. The least they could have done was make it some what like brawl. then again, we dont know all the online modes yet.. so maybe theirs something more.

we actually no idea of what the online modes will be like we just know we get to hoose a character and a stage. we might be able to use that one mode with a picture of mario on the side i forgot
I'm unconvinced about the code system. I would prefer something more like the Diablo 2 Battlenet, where you can get to know people. So you know people that you've played against before and if they're worth playing against etc.

I doubt there is gonna be a Wii headset, ever since i first played Super Smash Bros on the N64, i always dreamed there would be an online version, so that's good enough for me.
