I usually have a lot of games going at once. It takes me a long time to finish them all when I'm playing a lot at once, so I don't mind the number.
At the moment I'm currently playing Final Fantasy: IV, Pokemon Pearl, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Trauma Center: Under the Knife 1 & 2, and Phoenix Wright 3.
Phew, a lot of games, lol.
If its very addicting then i'll try to finish it... if not i'll jump around games.... (usually 5-10 :P)
on ds/ps2/computer games >.
DS - Age of Empires, Advance Wars Dual Strike, Final Fantasy III
PSP - Metal Gear Acid 2
X360 - Soul Calibur 4, Virtua Fighter 5
PS3 - Mlb 08 the show, folklore
Wii - No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4
PS2 - Disgaea
Dreamcast - Ikaruga
Depends.
Two days ago it was three (Trauma Center UTK2, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy Tactics A2) but then I got Metroid Zero Mission and Gunstar Super Heroes, and have been devoting myself to the former. It's an utterly fantastic game.
36 counted them myself.
36? but last year, last year i had 37

LOL must tk you a looong time 2 finish just one game
I'm a HUGE RPG fan and I've found that its hard for me to play more than 2 at a time without getting stories mixed up and intertwined.
I usually play one at a time so that I can get the full effect of the story and the gameplay, but once in a while I'll have 2 going at once if the games aren't really heavily story driven.
If the games aren't RPG's though, I'll have anywhere from 5-10 games going at once
Currently Playing: Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 and The World Ends With You
Unless I get more than 1 new game at a time i mostly focus on 1 game (usually the newest I get,ex:FF4) but I still play multiplayer on games like Metroid and Mario Kart but I don't consider that "focusing" on the game ( I have both games beat, well, Metroid not quite haha). I basically focus on the story of ONE game at a time but I will play multiplayer on my other games
