How is World of Goo Online?

The game World of Goo, how is it an online game? It says it is but how I don't see the functionality.

There's a thing called the World of Goo Corporation, where you build a really high tower. And it shows clouds from around the world. On those clouds it has a flag representing the country someone is from, and shows how high their tower is. So it's nothing major. It's just a cute way of seeing how your tower compares to other peoples.
