How is the top screen on the white 3DS XL?

I ask because I know the regular 3DS has a black top screen, I'm guessing because of the 3D effect or something, but now the 3DS XL is the same color all the way through. I want to get the Pikachu 3DS and I know the inside is white, so I'm wondering if it'll look as clear as other screens.
