how do you snake in MKDS?

You know, you can Triple Star everything without snaking.

First you hold down A and B then pull down on the right trigger button, if you do it fast enough you'll get a small but significant speed boost. And thats snaking.

snaking is using power boost but constantly doing it. almost nonstop. i never actually asked somebody if this is the right way.

whats so bad about snaking?

i know how to do it but i barely ever use it. i'm too lazy to. 

but still, whats so bad about it. isn't snaking skills? cos when i was first teaching myself how to snake, i found it incredibly difficult.

its like playing mario kart for the first time. if you immedietely just go 150cc, usually its incredibly hard to handle the kart. and it was the same with snaking. when you get better, you start winning in 150 cc. as you get better at snaking, you can do it without screwing up badly and losing the race.

its like swimming. if it was a race where you could use ANY stroke. would it be cheating if some one didn't know how to do freestyle and swam with breast stroke and someone beat them with freestyle. or if someone knew how to do freestyle but just didn't use it and lost to someone using freestyle. would you call it cheating then?

Dudes Snaking isn't bad/cheating, if you can't do it then learn how. Its a legit way to go faster and it is a racing game. Jeez that like Playing Halo 2 and telling everbody not to do headshots.

i'm with you man, too lazy to snake. i admit i try to use in in 1P to clear challenges, but it's way to much work to do it all the time especially in multiplayer. i'd rather race normal and have a close one where almost anyone can win and it comes down to items and flat out racing.

as for what's wrong with it, nothing in particular, just feels cheap to most people because it seems like the developers didn't really intend for it to be done that way. "it's not how you play the game". i understand.

i like the snake free matches cuz i can relax and just race instead of giving myself blisters and carpal tunnel.
