Today I picked up the cheapy GameStop Wii component cables, thinking they would work. I hooked them up to my HDTV, and jumped over to the Screen Resolution settings screen, and the option for a 480p dispay was blurred out. I coulden't select it. Could someone lend me a hand? I could really use the help in time for Galaxy's launch!

Thanks. :)

I don't know what you should do but I'm bumping this because someone not being able to fully enjoy SMG is a crime against nature itself.

Did you plug them in while your console was still turned on? Try unplugging the power first, then hooking up your component cables, and then turning on the console.

pretty much do this. If that doesn't work, the cables should be returned.

Yeah, I just got my cables today too, and I can get it to 480p, but when I play Resident Evil, it still looks pixelated and hard to see...

Any help is appreciated

Thanks
