I was playing Colors!3D and I accidently pressed the power button. The 3DS didnt turn off, but the menu that shows up when you press the power button showed up. So I simply pressed the home button and found that it has closed off Colors!3D, I would have been screwed if I hadnt saved right before I accidently hit power button:lol:

So then, have you guys ever accidently pressed the power button?

Never, but I have always been paranoid about it.

Nope. I think it's placed pretty well. I really can't imagine accidentally pressing it.

I accidentally hit it playing both Link's Awakening and Ocarina of Time, costing myself nearly an hours worth of play each time. It's not a mistake i've made since last summer, but it's asking for it when it's next to the start button.

The button is pretty 'hard' so unless you press it intentionally it won't really get pressed. At least not on my 3DS. Never happened to me \(^o^)/

Nope. Can't say I've hit that button by mistake yet.

Nope, not a problem I've ever had. Can't imagine it ever happening really.

Never hit it by mistake, rarely hit it intentionally. You all must be some very vigorous gamers if you can hit a button hard enough for it to register accidentally.

It was probably just the way I was holding my 3DS, but seeing how some others have done it too, I think it would be nice if in the next firmware update they introduced a feature where while playing a game or an app, if the power button is pressed accidently (where the button is held down for only a second or two) the 3DS will ignore the button press. Either that or they should make it where when accidently pressing the power button while running a game or app will be just like pressing the home button, except instead of suspending your game and taking you to the home menu it (will still suspend the game) takes you to the shut off menu, so if you did accidently press it, you'll be able to go right back to your suspended game without worry if it remembered where you were or not.
