Getting a Wii this weekend...

does anyone have any recommendations for games?

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, No More Heroes 1 and 2, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Punch-Out!!,Mario Kart Wii, and Resident Evil 4: Wii Editionwould be my top recommendations.

Why are you buying a Wii when you don't know what the games are?

There is a sticky on the top of the board for game recommendations. Also if you have a credit card, you can go to amazon and buy Wii games for cheap, mostly third party games.

My favorite games for the Wii are Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, The Conduit, and Wii Sports Resort.

If you don't have a 360/ps3/gaming comp AND you've never played modern warfare before, you might want to pick up modern warfare:reflex, as it's very good for a downgraded port.
