I have a Ds lite, and I'm finally getting a 3DS for Pokemon, but I just noticed FC still exist.

Are you still forced to used them to play online or has nintendo added a find random option?

I think Pokemon Black and White and beyond have a random wifi option, so I imagine X/Y will be the same. The slightly less crappy thing with the 3DS is your one FC works for every game. Still nowhere near as good as usernames though.
