Final Fantasy IV Looking Rough

Is it me, or do those screens of FFIV look really rough?

The characters look like those circular Lego characters. FF3 and 12 were good. CC Ring of Fates, and FFIV have that same type of model though. I have been waiting on this game for a while. Anxiously following it...The screens are looking like something out of the gameboy advance days. I'm sure SquareEnix wont let me down, but it is a little worrying right now. Guess I'll just wait until they get a little more info.

I don't complain about DS graphics too often, I actually enjoy a lot of the art styles, especially The World Ends With You.

Any opinions?

I really don't know why you think that. They look even better than the graphics from RoF. Nothing in the GBA days looked this good.drummer131

I know. It wasn't a knock. I think I just saw some bad quality pics. I went through some pics on IGN, looks better.

I played a couple hours of it in Japanese, and MAN, the game looked good. :shock: I noticed that the the feet looked a little funny but that's about it. It's hard to look as good with "realistic" graphics than it is with stylized ones, but the more serious look worked a lot better for this game than III's chibi look would've. And the animations in the (voice acted) cutscenes? Wow... Just wow...

I'm saving my money for it already.

Maybe if I hadn't bought this game for my GBA..... or still had it for my SNES..... Let's have a new game that I haven't already bought twice SE please.

Why not just make a new game?

As I said, I've already spent $100 on this game, do I need to spend another $40 on a SE DS game? The game should only be 30-35, like most other DS games, but for some reason SE feels like a remake of an old game with a few new script lines should be worth 10 more than any other DS game.

I'm sorry, I love Final Fantasy, and in all honesty, will probably at some point get this game, but it really is a rip-off. NEW MATERIAL IS WHAT WE WANT!
