My friend was telling me about some Japanese game on the DS where you could drum. He didn't go into specifics, but he said something about there being a monkey :? I know it's not Daigasso BB, but other than that I'm stumped. I really want to find out more about this game since I love music/rhythm games.

Taiko Drum Master comes out in Japan in July. I haven't heard of an English version though. The link above is a mini-game from Nodame Cantible, a mostly classical import title that just came out a month ago and got just ok reviews.

Eh...  No game scratches the DS screen.  They PLAYER can scratch it but if you use the touch capabilities moderately and with care, it wont get scratched.

Nintendo will make a lot of money on that one. All those broken touchscreens, and all those new DS sales.

A simple google of "drummer DS" got me this, ENJOY!Bio_Spark

I've heard of that before. I haven't checked with my friend, but I'm pretty sure that's not the one. He mentioned that he was freestyling, so I'm guessing it involves a whole drum kit. I think he might've been playing the drum mini game in Rhythm Tengoku (GBA game).

... or get screen protectors. I made that purchase IMMEDIATELY after buying Starfox, knowing I'd do severe damage in a paniced barrel roll.
