Donkey kong Country 4? NO

I remember back in the days of Snes and N64.When gaming on nintendo consoles was just a BLAST.

But Ever since rare was bought from Microsoft and nintendo still owned rights to donkey kong. We will never see a good Donkey kong country 4.

Do you think Nintendo will make a 3D, 23-D Game featuring donkey kong with old fashion DKC gameplay?

Cause lately all i see on wii is Throwing frisbess to dogs.

Miyamoto himself has said he doesn't like what Rare did to DK, so it's highly unlikely we're ever going to see something like DKC again, sadly =/

The second red steel is a complete overhaul of what the first game was lol..

So basically you don't want dog frisbee games, but your not interested in but a few of the other games.. sounds like you bought the wrong console:P

I don't think DK will be making a comeback other than Smash Bros. and the drum games.

Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto criticised Donkey Kong Country, stating that "Donkey Kong Country proves that players will put up with mediocre gameplay as long as the art is good." Miyamoto later apologised, saying he had been harsh due to Nintendo pressuring him at the time to make Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island similar to Donkey Kong Country.

I think Donkey Kong Country is great, I've downloaded DKC 2 from VC yesterday and it's tons of fun. I think a new Donkey Kong Country on the Wii would be awesome.

DKC had its time in the spotlight for many years, so id rather see a DK jungle beat sequel to be honest.

Methinks someone was butt-hurt over another platformer stealing the spotlight. The DKC games are stellar, and the level variation to mix up the platforming (like the roller coaster levels, bramble blast, etc) is rock solid.

Anyway, I don't think Nintendo has any idea of what to do with Donkey Kong even though it is pretty obvious what we want of the franchise.

perhaps Nintendo never had plans to extend the DK games until rare made some great ones, and once they left, maybe like Star Fox too, nintendo doesn't know what to do with them (evven though it should be obvious )

How is Rambi a sumbstitute for Mario's powers. The only Animal buddy I could think of that is remotely like one of Mario's powers is Expresso from the first DKC and that felt nothing like Tanuki Mario or cape Mario. Yes the whole side scrolling and jumping thing was done by Mario first and the bananas were similar to coins but the who feel and flow of those games are a lot faster and fluid than Mario. I am not bashing Mario by any means, You could argue that any platformer is like mario. Sonic is like Mario, Rathet is like Mario, Crash Bandicoot, etc. What made all those games different is the flow. Aslong as a game has a different feeling when you play the game, it doesn't have to be completely different.
