It makes you lose weight about as well as drinking Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke or Coke Zero or whatever you want to drink. If you are really desperate to lose weight here is my award winning advice that no one has ever tried before. Exercise more (not including Wii) and eat less. That might help you lose weight, or at least turn those baker dozen or rolls into more of a six-pack.

Well, it depends on how you play. In wii sports, if you actually move around, etc, then, you will lose a little weight. But you don't really lose a whole ton of weight, unless one plays wii sports like everyday.

If you have DDR, then yes. Though the DDR Wii was kind of weird, why does Nintendo always get the weird DDRs? :?.

My right arm got noticeably bigger than my left arm after I got Red Steel and starting pulling 4 hour gaming sessions every day.

Depends on the game Wii Sports and Wii Fit will actually put you to sweat but all you do is just lose CALORIES not WEIGHT if you manage to play Wii Sports and Wii Fit for long periods of timeand everyday for the rest of the year, youmay see a SMALL change in weight.

I like your avatar. It's Shawn Michaels. It's been awhile that I didn't see wrestling shows.

Wii fit will most likely help people lose weight. It has...I guess you could call them minigames (though they're more like applications), and you can do things like run, do pushups, do yoga (if you're into that) and strength training. It's not out until next year though.

Well in my opinion its very simple. Yes it makes you lose weight, but not like rediculous amounts. I mean you do a lot more than any other video game system by far, so you godda put that into consideration.

I've gained weight from playing wii. It is such small motions usually that it pretty much makes no difference.

Does the Wii make you loose weight? Um....no.

That's like thinking that eating makes you loose weight because you work your mouth and throat muscles vigorously.

ide say the wii itself in nature has nothing to do with weightlloss. but hey, if you dont wanna DIET AND EXERCISE i suppose you can buy aWii and move your body unnecessarily as you play for a good like 4 hours a day on Wii sports. or wait for the balance board and hope you dont weigh too much to stand on it :)

. You'd probably have to play for like 10 hours straight to get the equivalent of a decent workout, I mean seriously, even if you are moving around, it's not nonstop. It's stop and go, which really doesn't help you. Even when you're moving, it's nothing much, maybe walking back and forth, and swinging, you'll lose a few calories yeah, but definately not an alternative to exercise.

They DO have DDR for the Wii...again, it's one of the weird DDRs, not the normal arcade ports.
