There is no comparison
The iphone had a built in harddrive, a huge touchscreen, is a phone and can go on the internet right out of the box. The camera is probably better (I don't know the statistics so don't take my word too seriously) and is not a flip screen
The DSI is just nintendo's third DS. I really don't know what they are thinking with this. It's a neat idea, but with the SD card slot, I mean, come on. That's almost encouraging piracy (not that I do, but just look at it) The camera I can't see having much use for games and having it on the inside just makes it odd to take pictures of friends with.

All in all, I don't even have an Iphone and can see the differences. I'm not trying to flame the DSI in any way, but from a gamers perspective, I think it's trying to pull a "PSP" and please a much larger audience with features that detract from the whole gamers aspect instead of focus on just a core gaming machine. Good luck nintendo, don't pull a Sega and release too many consoles and run yourself into the ground. The last thing I ever want to see is Mario on a Sony or Microsoft platform. That would ruin alot for me.

I'm not really interested in the DSi. In fact, not at all.

I don't think it's like the iPhone. The iPhone is a lot cooler, they should've focused on better hardware instead of adding useless stuff on the DS. The camera and stuff's gonna be good for the kiddos but not for the hardcore. There's already the Wii for that kind of uselessness.

If I'm getting this straight, you are saying that the I-Phone is ripping off the DSI (which hasn't released yet). I get the feeling that any explanatiions given forth would only serve to confuse you more.

The iPhone does not have a hard drive-it uses flash memory for storage instead. If it really used a hard drive, you'd see them with far more capacity than 32 GB, as well as being thicker, having less battery life, and being more prone to malfunction because of the use of moving parts.

Did you not notice the external camera? As for not being much use for games, someone suggested using it for a new version of Wario Ware that's controlled by facial gestures. You could also use it to snap a pic of your face for insertion in games. I definitely agree that the iPhone and DSi are very different devices and not really fit for comparison, though.
