OK so im considering getting an action replay for my ds lite, and no its not for cheating, i like getting secret stuff or unlockables so then i can show my friends and theyll all be amazed at what i got and how they cant get it, but i heard it corrupts your game but...by corrupt, does it involve just erasing your data? or messing your game up so you cant play it anymore? just wondering, if anyone can help id appreciate it, thanks :D
Well I used to use one for my Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire games. It didn't corrupt my save file but it screwed up my items backpack thing so that pretty much made the game unplayable because I could'nt get to any important items.

Well the Action Replay actually modify's the game's data and if you re wright over say, the part of tha game that makes it save, then you can no longer save. i wouldnt trust all the codes you see on the internet, as some people purposly make them to curropt your game.
I have one and use it with 14 games never a problem so I don't know what people are talking about.  The codes are pre written and verified and if there is any issue with them they spell it out so I don't see the issue AR is meant to temp mod the game so erasing the corrupted save file should get you back to the default game. Don't use it multiplayer for one it will probably jack the game up and two it sucks to play a cheater. Cheating while playing muliplayer is stupid don't cheat that makes you a lowly newb.
