The game seems very interesting. I'm actually very excited, the fact that many former Retro Studios and Metroid Prime Trilogy employees are working on this game gets me more excited. Also a 2.5 D metroid esque Batman game is no doubt a cool idea. Its built from the ground up, and the screen shots actually really nice so far. They are probably PS Vita screenshots, but I would imagine the 3DS version would look very similar, and the screens don't look like anything the 3DS can't handle. Also I imagine the 3D effect on the 3DS would be sweet for a Batman game.

I'm pretty excited about this. There's quite a bit of potential for this.

I was expected better -- looks like a 3D side scroller.

Looks interesting, it may be as the SNES one but with modern elements too, as they did with DKCR (I know, is a different genre but I'm just referring to how they updated the concept). Thanks for the info!

Interesting. A Batman themed Metroidvania could be amazing, will have to keep my eye on this one.

Kind of bummed out that rocksteady isn't involved with Origins or Origins Blackgate.

I will probably wait until they come out to decide and not let my love of Batman cloud my judgment (and empty my pockets if not deserved).

This. It has a ton of potential especially knowing some of the people working on it worked on Prime. Hopefully it lives up to its potential

I have both systems so I can't wait to see which version of the game is better. Since Nintendo doesn't like 2D Metroid anymore and Konami locked Igarashi in a basement somewhere and won't let real Castlevania games see the light of day, somebody has to pick up the Metroidvania slack.

It could be a lot of fun.

However, the Batman Arkham formula is not exactly well suited for a sidescrolling environment. Either way, I am intrigued.

yeah, it's a bit of a disappointment.  Feels like 3DS already gets so many games like this.

It's a shame, I think 3ds could handle the 3d console Arkham gameplay.  Would've loved a RE:R calibre Batman game.

I disagree. if you ever played the Freight Train combat challenge in Arkham City, you'll see how the Arkham template can work in a traditional beat em up plane(you know, like the old Double Dragon games).
