To the topic creator, I'd hold off for a DSi unless you have some games you want to play and no other options.

If it has been within 1 year, and you have registered you're Nintendo DS. Go to Nintendowifi.com and click on the tech support. It will give you plenty of options to repair you're DS (Plastic housing, hinges, scratched or blotched screens, etc etc)

But remember, it has to have been registered within 1 year or it will cost a little money.
