It also depends on where you live....I got mine at Best Buy on launch day with ease......a friend in Texas was having trouble finding one, so I told him that he could find one probably at Costco. Suprisingly enough he found one at Costco. Was a huge moment for me 8), because he is usually the all knowing.:roll: Places I would check first, if they are in your area: 1. Best Buy 2. Wal-Mart 3. Target 4. Costco 5. Frys electronics 6. Circuit City 7. Sears 8. Toys R us 9. J. C. Penney 10. Some Radio shacks I've heard...probably online only though
Out of all of these places, I would definitely check Best Buy first, they usually can look up in their system and tell you if another location has a unit if they don't. So they are # 1 on the list, plus they have the Reward Zone deal, and a 2 year replacement program. Good Luck!!

Yes, we all bought on at the same time. Superbowl weekend we were all partying together and one of the other guys brought his Wii. We all loved it so we bought one.

my mom waslked into walmart an hour after they open because I told here the jan 28th shipment and she got one DO NOT camp its not worthe it anymore just walk into a store at latest an hour after they open on a wii release date and BOOM you have one
I was at wal-mart depositing my paycheck (at the bank inside it). My friend(was with me) who has a wii went over too electroincs to see if they had got wiimotes in. Well he calls me up and says they got 3 wii's in, Im like get 1 for me, he's like I don't have enought $$. I'm like dam '"the line at the bank was long"' and with only 3 wii's in they would go fast. well lucky for me the girl who works the counter likes my firend and held 1 for me (their not suppost to do that). 10mins later when I got my check cashed all the wii's were all sold, but they had mine. I got my wii outa pure luck, I hadn't even gone there for or even thought about looking for wii's that day. I've been trying to get 1 sence day 1, after trying and failing I just gave up and stop looking. I fugerd I would get 1 when you can just walk into any store and pick 1 up. good luck too u, you may come across 1 when you least expect it, so keep soom $$ ready avalible .

you need to get lucky. you could try to use this site http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii/, I used it ot get my PS3, my firend used it to get his wii, but to be honest I found my wii outta luck.
who ever doesn't have a wii yet doesn't look very hard because I went to target 2 days ago they had 14 wiis just sitting on the shelf but no wiimotes, nunchucks or wii point cards
Again, it mostly depends on where you live....., but that's just theory. The shipments may be balanced out based on population. An area can have what seems to be a shortage based on demand, but in actuality it's because of the population density and therefore the lack of sending sufficient consoles to cover the real demand. The Big N went the conservative route, not anticipating the huge demand, but hey can't say I blame them. The didn't want to repeat the Gamecube debacle. It should all smooth out in the coming months......:)
This is just a stupid off-topic n00b question but... I hear a lot of people about having to go to the bank to get some cash. Or people outside of the store getting their money stolen. Don't you guys just pin for your purchase?? Whenever I purchase something over 50 euro I always use pin transaction, it's easier, safer and faster.
